Learning Outcomes
Listening
Students are trained in effective listening strategies to understand conversations and texts. They learn to identify facts, interpret information, listen for the speaker’s purpose, form opinions, and connect new knowledge with what they already know.
Speaking
Engaging and age-relevant topics motivate students to develop speaking skills through conversation, presentations, and group discussions. Students learn to express opinions, build persuasive arguments, and offer counterpoints — skills that enhance their confidence and public speaking ability.
Reading
Students are trained to use a variety of reading strategies — from skimming and scanning to identifying the author’s intention. They learn to identify key information, summarise longer passages, form opinions, and understand unfamiliar words through context.
Writing
Through classroom activities, homework, and writing exercises, students learn to express their ideas in a variety of writing styles using structured grammar. Students progress from simple sentences and short paragraphs to longer texts such as persuasive and argumentative essays. They also learn to incorporate facts from reading into their own writing, preparing them for success in junior high school and high school.
